DR. EWART'3 RESIGNATION.

The following motion was passed by the Hospital Trustees, after a long discussion in committee, yesterday:—"That in recognition of the long and invaluable service rendered by n r . Ewart to the WelTington Hospital, fihdih to retain his connection with'the institution for a further short period, Dr. Ewart be offered, as from the date of his resignation taking effect, the appointment of consulting surgeon; the period of engagement to be six months at his former salary; (2) iha-t during the leave of absence granted to Dr. Collins, Dr. Ewart be asked to perform the duties of honorary surgeon."
