MINISTERIAL QUALIFICATIONS.

The Minister for Agriculture (the Hon. R. McNab) confessed that he was not an expert in every separate branch of the larming industry, when addressing the meeting of dairy farmers at Carterton last night. "Some dairy farmers," said Mr McNab, "have the idea that a Minister for Agriculture should know all about dairying, some sheep-farmers likewise imagine the Minister should be versed in every art respecting that industry, and so on throughout the whole range of special farming occupations. F a Minister is expected to know all that, I cheerfully admit lam not such a Minister, and, what is more, I sympathise with the country that sets out to find such a Minister."
