CONSTANTINOPLE, Oft. 16
A crowd, mostly Kurds, murdered a Greek gardener at Constantinople, and almost beat to death a Turkish woman who wished to marry him. The policemen and soldiers, under whose protection the couple had been placed, have been punished owing to cowardice and lukewarmness s shown in resistng the lynchers.
