MASTERTON TRUST LANDS TRUSTEES.
MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting of the Masterton Trust Lands Trustees was held last evening. There were present,— Messrs'!. B. Michell (in the chair), 0. N. C. Pragnell, C. E. Daniell, E. G- Eton, W. H. Jackson, and R. Krahagen. The Treasurer reported a credit balance of £92 14s 7d. The Public Trustee notified that he would accept the position of Sinking Fund Commissioner for the Harbour Board Loan of £IO,OOO at the rate of one per cent. On the motion of Mr C. E. Daniell, seconded by Mr W. H. Jackson, it was decided that the Public Trustee be duly appointed. Mr H. E. Nicholls, Acting Secretary of the Wellington Harbour Board, notified that £1,300 of the loan was now available for the Trust's use, and asked that debentures to that amount be forwarded to Wellington. The letter also contained a request for a forecast of money likely to be wanted. Regarding the request for the forecast, it was decided to inform Mr Nicholls that the Trustees would supply the same as early as possible, as certain matters in contemplation awaited definite shape on account of the Government's indecision regarding the exchange of sites. The debentures had in the meantime been forwarded, and the money received. Messr=, Izard and Weston, solicitors, Wellington, forwarded the deed of covenant in duplicate for the signatures of all the Trustees. Mr J. L. Stewart, Secretary of the Wellintgon Education Board, wrote acknowledging receipt of the donation of £3l 17s to the Masterton District High School. Mr A. R. Bunny, solicitor, wrote asking the Trustees to sign an enclosed agreement regarding a right-of-way to the Wairarapa Age office. —lt was decided that the Chairman should sign the agreement. Mr P. L. Hollings, solicitor, wrote asking the consent of the Trustees to the sub-tenancy of part Town Acre 111. from Carey's Estate to G. Bedford.— The request was granted. Mr K. Bligh wrote thanking the Trustees for the use of the Town Hall for the White Cross League's .lectures. Mr G. A. Pownall, solicitor, wrote asking for the consent of the Trustees to a transfer of lease from A. Rebay to H. Johnson. —The request was granted. The Greymouth Harbour Board wrote inviting tenders for the debentures for a £50,000 loan by the Board. —No action was taken in the matter.
