The totalisator investments amounted to £4,586, a decrease of £I,OBB on the corresponding .day last year. The decrease for the meeting was £1,609 10s. Six bookmakers were licensed. Results:— Wakari Hurdles, one mile and a half.—Leonardo, 10.10, 1; Grand Stand, 11.5, 2; Kaikaomako, 9.3, 3. Also started—Leeside. Won by four lengths. Time, 2min 57 l-ssec. Burnside Hack Handicap, six furlongs.—Linda, 8.13, 1; Spinning Flight, 9.7, 2; Sawmiller, 9.11, 3. Also started— Warsaw, Montreal, F.Y, Won by a length. Time, lmin 19 2-ssec. Ranfurly Handicap, one mile. — Saga, 7.3, 1; Apollodoris, 7.8, 2; Armamento, 8.9, 3. Also started— Dabchick, Harvest, Lone Star, Red and Black, Luresome. Won by threequarters of a length. Time, lmin 45 8-ssec. The Stewards asked the owner of the winner for an explanation as to Saga's running as compared with yesterday. The explanation was that the horse was short of work on the first day, and this was accepted. Domimon'Handicap, four furlongs— Aewa, 8.13,1; Maud Gonne, 7.12, 2; Adage, 7.3, 3. Also started— Chinook. Won by two lengths. Time, 52 4-ssec. Shorts Handicap, five furlongs.— Lupulite, 10.2, 1; My Lawyer, 6.7, 2; Petrovna, 9.7, 3. Also stated— Ard Reigh, Octave. Won by two lengths. Time, lmin 4 3-ssec. : Kaikorai Hack Handicap, five furlongs—Valdimar, 8.3, l;Liza, 6.10, 2; Flavour, 7.10, 3. AJso started — Wardland, Assault, Erskine, Cockleshell, Little Medallist, Optional. Won by a short length. Time, lmin ssec.
Telegraph Welter, seven furlongs —Mango, 8.2, 1; Casque, '7.7, 2; Luresome, 8.0, 3. Also started— Mythical, Fandango, Curosettia, Rifle Range, Heirloom. Won by a neck. Time, Irnin 32 2-ssec.
