The fields were small, but some of the finishes were exttemely close and exciting. The sum of £6,057 was put through the totalisator, making a total for the two days of £12,789, as compared with £17,048 last year. Thirteen bookmakers were on the ground to-day, whose fees amounted to £lB2 10s. Results:— Caledonian Hack Hurdles, 1| miles —Forest, 9.11, 1; Ancyie, 9.10, 2; Ruabon, 10.13, 8. Also started— Commander 10.10, Oak bourne 9.0, Whareponga 9.0 (carried 9.4.) Won by half a dozen lengths. Oakbourne fell. Time, 2mi:i 53 2-ssec.
