BY TELEGRAPH —l'llli>v> ASSOCIATION. NAPIER, October 15. The second day of the Napier Park Racing Club's spring meeting to-day was favoured with beautiful weather, and there was a lar.e attendance. The fields were small, but some of the finishes were exttemely close and exciting. The sum of £6,057 was put through the totalisator, making a total for the two days of £12,789, as compared with £17,048 last year. Thirteen bookmakers were on the ground to-day, whose fees amounted to £lB2 10s. Results:— Caledonian Hack Hurdles, 1| miles —Forest, 9.11, 1; Ancyie, 9.10, 2; Ruabon, 10.13, 8. Also started— Commander 10.10, Oak bourne 9.0, Whareponga 9.0 (carried 9.4.) Won by half a dozen lengths. Oakbourne fell. Time, 2mi:i 53 2-ssec. Puketapu Hack, 7 furlongs—Highden 6 12, 1; Auldearn, 9.0, 2;* Separator, 7.», 3. Also startedTuatahi 7.0, Splash 6.13 (carried 7.1). A great finish between the three placed horses resulted in a win by a short head for Highden, the same distance bein? between the second and third horses. Time, lmin 31 l-ssec. Korokipo Hurdles, 1§ miles— Monarque, 10.0, 1: Rawhiti, 9.0, 2, Gold Dust, 11.10, 3. Ako started— Aroha 11.13, Reservoir 10.8. Won by six lengths. T.ma, ami.. Ij*-5 sec. Nursery Handicap, 4£ furlongs— Merigal, 7.3, 1; Perhaps, 6.7 (carried €.9), 2: Ideate, 7.11, 3. Also started— Seraphic 7.4, Theodore 7.3. Won by half a head. Time, 57 l-ssec. RACING CLUB HANDICAP, 1 mile and a distance. Moral, 9.0 ~ 1 Chanteuse, 7.1 .. 2 Comedian, 7.3 .. 3 Also started—Polyanthus 7.2, Woodhey 7.0, Chicane 6.9, Lamsdorff 6.9. Time, lmin 57sec. Telephone Hack, 6 furlongs—Andrew Mack, 7.4, 1; Gold Treasure, 6.13, 2; North Pole, 8.1, 3. Also started—Wonder bohm 6.9 (carried 7.3), Rose Lethe 09. Won hands down by half a length. Time, lmin 17 4-ssec. A Scurry Hack, 5 furlongs—vi, Bt7, 1; Magneto, 8.7, 2; Perchance, 8.7, 3. Also started —Ngahere 8.7, Sir Possible 8.7, Simosi 8.7. Won by a clear length. Simosi was second within a few yards of the post, when he faltered and broke his off pastern. Time, lmin 41-ssec. Grandstand Handicap, 5 furlongsStylish, 7.3, 1; Muskerry, 8.3, 2; Martyrium, 8.13, 3. Also started Downfall 9.0, Tarina 6.10 (carried 6.12). Won by half a head, a head separating second and third horses. Time, lmin 5 l-ssec.
