THE SESSION'S LEGISLATION.
BILLS TO BE PROCEEDED WITH. By Telegraph—Press Association. • WELLINGTON, September 23. In the House this evening the Premier made a statement regarding the work the Government proposed to proceed with this session. The House would be asked to put through the following Bills: —Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Amendment, Mining Amendment, Coal Mines Amendment, Waipuke Block Road, Inferior Courts Procedure, Fisheries Amendment, Second Ballot, Local Bodies Loans Amendment, Government Advances to Settlers Amendment, Secret Commissions Acts Interpretation Amendment, Maori Land Lawa Amendment. Thj Education Amendment Bill would be proceeded with upon the understanding that members should not insist upon important amendments contrary to the Government policy. The other Bills now on the Order Paper would not be proceeded with tnis session. Of the Bills not yet o.i the Order Paper the following would be put through : —Validation Court Empowering Bill, Old Age Pensions Amendment, Heavy Traffic, Immigration Restriction, Amendment of Public Service Classification Superannuation and Local Bodies Superannuation. Continuing, Sir Joseph said that as there would be no "washing-up" Bill this session, several minor measures would require to be.passed. Of the Bills the Government proposed to put through the following ten were of prime importance:—lndustrial Conciliation, Education, Workers Compensation, Coal Mines, Local Bodies Loans, to Settlers Superannuation, Heavy Traffic, Old Age Pensions, and Water Power. The House would be also - asked to debate the report of the Committee on Parliament site.
