The work of erecting the new carbonising plant for the Maaterton Gasworks is not likely to be delayed much longer. The transfer of th,e site to the Corporation has been the stumbling block Hn the road of the progress of this important work. Within a few days it is expected that the Governor's signature to the transfer will be obtained, and the work will be put in hand immediately.
