Received September 8, 12.55 a.m. SYDNEY, September 7. In connection with the cabled proposals to wirelessly link the Pacific Islands, the Australian representative of the Amalgamated Poulsen-Radio Company of London, states that negotiations are proceeding with the Governments of the various islands interested. He also states that the Commonwealth and New Zealand Governments are favourably disposed, and the various shipping companies have agreed to co-operate should the Company receive sufficient support. A start to install the scheme will be made at New Year. It will take twelve months to complete.
