THE SEVEN-OAKS MURDER.
MAJOR-GENERAL LUARD'S EVIDENCE.
A DRAMATIC ACCOUNT. Received August 28, 7.57 a.m. LONDON, August 27. At an inquest at Seven-oaks touching he death of Mrs Luard, who was foully murdered, the husband (MajorGeneral Luard) gave a dramatic account of the finding of his wife's remains. However, he threw no fresh light on the case. Officers from Scot'and Yard engaged in the case are searching for a small revolver that was evidently used in the shooting of Mrs Luard. BLOODHOUNDS BEING USED. LITTLE PROSPECT OF SUCCESS. Received August 28, 7.57 a.m. LONDON, August 27. The police are employing bloodhounds in the search for the Sevenoaks murderer, but there is little prospect of success owing to ihe fact of rain having fallen after the murder. Received August 28, 10.35 p.m. LONDON, August 28. The bloodhounds twice followed a course which it was sugeested the murderer had escaped along the Tonbridge road.
