LUCKY ESCAPE OF ENTOMBED MINERS.
Received August 28, 9.40 p.m. LONDON, August 28. A fire at Hapton Valley Colliery at Burnley, destroyed the pit-head, entombing fifteen who escaped safely by air roads to the surface, after two had been overtaken by fumes ar.d almost suffocated.
