The following is the directors' annual report in connection with the Dal.efield Daiiy Company:—During thu stason 7,500,73211k of milk were received, yielding 259.219.381bs of butter fat, from whL'h 714,6661bs of cheese were made, being a decrease of Gn tons on last year's output. This decrease is due to the exceedingly dry season experienced. Tiie highest test during the season was 5.8, and the loweet 3.2. the average being 3.85. The quantity of milk required to make one pound of cheese was 10.491b5, and each pound of butter fat made 2.471bn cheese. After paying an advance amounting to £9,639 12s 10(1, writing off £37 I 2a 8d for depreciation of plant and buildings and reserving £6l 16s for 6 per cent, dividend on subscribed capital, there remains a balance of £5,121 lis 8d due to suppliers, making an actual cash payment of Is OJd per lb of butter fat. Your manager, Mr West, has again been very successful wherever the cheese has been exhibited, proving that the high state of excellence is being maintained You will be called upon to elect two auditors in lieu of Messrs Knutson and Gallon, who retire by rotation, but being eligible, offer themselves for reelection. You will aho be required to elect an auditor and fix remuneration.
