BUSH FIRES IN BRITISH COLUMBIA.
DEATHS AT FERNIE,
' VANCOUVER, August 7. The deaths at Fernie during the fire totalled thirty. People are returning to rebuild the town. A fire is raging on the mountains, but the towns of Hosmer and Michael are safe. AUSTRALIAN SYMPATHY. MELBOURNE, August 8. Lord Northcote (Governor-General) and Mr Deakin (Federal Prime Minister) cabled to Canada their sympathy with the sufferers by the forest fires.
