"BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION. AUCKLAND, June 20. ' At "a dinner to the British and Auckland teams on Saturday, Mr Devote, president of the Auckland Union, said if international visits cime too close • they tended to produce a sameness of play. What was wanted was each end to develop a style of its. own, which was impossible with frequent tests. Harding, the British captain, said that although' beaten badly by Auckland they could promise New Zealand a good go noxt Saturday. He congratulated the Auckland team on'a clean, good display of honest football. They wore led in the South to believe they were going to get a pretty warm time from teams in this part, but while the last two had been willing they were enjoyable.
