The Maoris beat Queensland by 13 to 5. The game was very exciting. The first half ended with the score — Queensland 5 points (from'a try scored by Dore); Maoris, nil. In the second half the Maoris made the pace hot, and kept Queensland strictly on the defence. For the visitors Asher (2) and Tuki scored tries, two of which were, converted, the game ending Maoris, 13; Queensland, 5.
