METEOROLOGICAL.
Mr J. C. Boddington reports that the rainfall registered at Upper Plain for on Wednesday was 17 points. Mr A B. Nicholls reports that the rainfall registered at Castlepoint for the month of June was 1.55 inches. Rain fell on 13 days, the maximum being 30 points on the 4th, and the minimum 2 points on the Bth. Mr S. Mawley, Ditton, reports as follows:—The rainfall for June was 2.43. The maximum fall in 24 hours was .44 on the 23rd. The average for the m'inth of Jima for 28 years is 5.23. The following is Captain Edwin's weather forecast to 3 p.m. to-mor-row :—Moderate to strong northerly winds over the North Island, and south-easterly in the South; indications for continuance of cloudy End unsettled weather.
