Mr J. C. Boddington reports that the rainfall registered at Upper Plain for the 24 hours up till 9 a.m. on Sunday was 5 points.

WELLINGTON, June 29,
The following is Captain Edwin's weather forecast to 3 p.m. tomorrow: —Strong westerly winds are probable over the North Island, and from the southward in the South Island, with cloudy and unsettled weather generally. Forecast to July 4th—Generally strong to high westerly w'tida, changing towards south, with cold weather. Rain until the 1 at, but changing after that date to northerly strong to gale, probably with rain at most places southward of Napier and New Plymouth.
