NAVIGATION OF THE AIR.
ANOTHER LENGTHY FLIGHT. Received June 23, 10.2 p.m. ROME, June 23. M. Delagrange's aeroplane flew fifteen kilometres in 16| minutes at Milan without touching the ground. M. Delagrange is a well-known French aeroplanist, who has made many successful flights. H? constructed a large machine with some 500 square leet of surface, propelled by a 50 h.p. engine. On the day that M. Farman won the Archdeacon Cup, M. Delagrange attempted to, beat his record, but failed. The two aeronauts, however, accomplished another f^at—the first of its kind in aeroplaning. As M. Delagrange was going to fiy b: ck to his shed he asked M. Farman to get into the aeroplane as a passenger, which Mr Farman did, and after a gooJ start, the machine rose from the ground and carried the two aeroplanists in a wellsustained flight for a distance of some fifty yards.
