The decision of a number of unions not to accept the Labour Council's recommendation to ignore the Industrial Disputes Act is threatening a serious split in the Labour camp. DESERTED WOMEN. INTERESTING FIGURES FROM SYDNEY. Received June 23, 10 a.m. SYDNEY, June 23. According to the Mission Zone report over 600 women were deserted by their husbands in Sydney last year, and 3,000 children were dealt with by the children's court. SUGAR OUTPUT. A NEW SOUTH WALES ESTIMATE. ' Received June 23, 9.58 a.m. SYDNEY, June 23. It is officially estimated that the sugar output of New South Wales for next year will be nearly 1,200 tons less than at present, the expansion of the dairying industry diminishing sugar cultivation.
