MAJOR CUP. CARTERTON A v. CATERTON B
A match wa3 played at Carterton yesterday between the Cartreton A and B teams, and resulted in n win for the former team by 4 goals to 2. Y.M.C.A. v. KNOX. The match yesterday between the Y.M.C.A. and Knox Clubs resulted in a win for the former by 7 goals to 1. Brown, Williams'(2) and Kue (4) scored goals for the Y.M.C.A., and Loader the goal for Knox. Mr D. M. Mcintosh was referee.
W.F.C.A. A v. W.F.C.A. B
The W.F.C.A. A team defeated the W.F.C.A. B team yesterday by 4 goals to nil.
HUGHES SHIELD.
GLENGARRY v. lIINEMOA. A match was played at Carterton yesterday between the Hinemoa and Glengarry teams. The latter only had eight players, but nevertheless put up a stuborn fight. They, however, suffered defeat by 6 goals to nil. Mr W. Fisher was referee.
HUIA v. GARRY OWExN.
A match was played at Lansdowne yesterday between the Garry Owen and Huia Clubs, and resulted in a draw, neither side scoring. Mr S. A. Noble-Campbell »'as referee.
A match will be played between the Kia Toa Club (Greytown) and the Kiwi Club (Wellington), at Wellington, on June 3rd.
