At 9 a.'m. yesterday the following forecast was issued by Captain Edwin for the subsequent 24 hours: — , Wind. Easterly, moderate to strong at all places north of East Cape, Taupo, and Kawhia; southerly, moderate to strong thence to Napier; westerly, moderate elsewhere, but changing to northerly after 12 hours. Barometer. Fall at all places northward of East Cape, Taupo, and Kawhia; little movement thence to Napier; fall everywhere else.
