GENERAL CABLES.
LONDON, May 8. James Calcutt, charged with defrauding'the Mile End Board of Guardians by means of false accounts, pleaded guilty, and was sentenced to six months' imprisonment. Received Way 10, 4.2 p.m. LONDON, May 9. The death is announced of Mr James Campbell, brother of the late Sir Henry Campbell-Bann'erman.
