' SUPPORT FROM THE WAIHI MINERS. CONDEMNATION 0? COURT PRESIDENT. \ ■ i BY TELEGRAPH - I'ItESS ASSOCIATION. WAIHI, March 30. A special meeting of the Waihi Miners' Union held to consider the 'question of financial assistance to the Blackball Union unanimously resolved to levy a shilling a week per member while the strike continues. It was also resolved that a copy of the following resolution be sent to the Minister of Labour: —"That the Arbitration Act requires amending in the direction of placing employers on the game footing as employees; that the Union has 110 confidence in the President as a Judge of the Court." The Waihi Union has a membership of 1,000, and the levy will produce £SO per week. HELP FROM THE SOCIALISTS. WELLINGTON, March 30. Up to the present the Wellington Socialist Party has sent £3O to the Blackball strikers. ■ Mr P. H. Hickey, representing the Blackball Union, left Wellington today for Auckland.
