FIFTY MILLION PERSONS AFFECTED. Received March 19, 8.55 a.m. CALCUTTA, March 18._ Lord Minto, Viceroy of India, states that the loss of fifteen millions sterling worth of crops in the united provinces of India affects fifty million people. Relief committees are being formed.
