A DUEL.

SEQUEL TO THE PORT ARTHUR TRIAL. Received March 18, 9 a.m. LONDON, March 18. General Fock fought a duel with General Smyrnoff. Tne latter was severely wounded Received March 20, 12.57 a.m. ST. PETERSBURG, March 19. General Smyrnoff's second shot traversed General Fock's coat. The latter's third shot wounded General Smyrnoff in the abdomen. Several ladies were present. During the trial of General Stoessel and other Russian officers in connection with the surrender of Port Arthur to the Japanese, General Smyrnoff made certain statements reflecting on General Fock's honour. The latter challenged General Smyrnoff to a duel with pistols at fifteen paces.
