JAMES LAING AND SONS.
PETITION FOR COMPULSORY WINDING-UP. Received March 18, 8.50 a.m. LONDON, March 17. The hearing of a petition for the compulsory winding-up of Sir James Lain* and Sons, shipbuilders, was adjourned in order to cross-examine witnesses. Counsel stated that the conpany since 1905 had lost upwards of a quarter of a million. No reason was tendered for the losses.
