SUMMARILY SHOT.
REVOLUTIONISTS AT HAYTI. Received March 17, 8.30 p.m. LONDON, March 17. Before daybreak on Sunday a dozen residents of Port au Prince, capital of the Republic of Hayti,wpre dragged from their homes and summarily shot by order of General Leconte, the Minister of the Interior, on a charge of conspiring in favour of General Firmin. Many revolutionists took refuge in the French and German Legations The Government demand their surrender, alleging that a [conspiracy is being hatched at the Consulates. The French cruiser D'Estress has been ordered to Gonaives, and the German cruiser Bremen and the British cruisers Cressy and Indefatigable have been ordered to Hayti from Jamaica. Received March 17, 9.27 p.m. NEW YORK. March 17. The authorities at Washington consider that Hayti ought to be allowed to put her,; house in order without interference. The Consuls at Gonaives are trving to arrange for the removal of refugees from the Legations.
