CHINA AND JAPAN.
THE TATSU MARU RELEASED.
Received March 17, 12.27 a.m. PEKIN, March 16. China has apologised for hauling down the flag of the Tatsu Maru. She has saluted the flag and restored the vessel. Japan has agreed to prohibit the importation of arms in China by Japanese.
The Tatsu Maru was seized last month at the instance of the Chinese Customs officials, it being alleged that the steamer was landing arms for the rebels under Sun-Yat-Sen.
