FIRE BRIGADES' CONFERENCE.
MEETING OF EXECUTIVE
The members of the Executive Committee of the United Fire Brigades' Association arrived in Masterton on Thursday and yesterday, and last evening met in the Fire Brigade meeting room. The committee is composed as follows: President, Captain A. H. Anson Westport Fire Brigade; Vice-president, Supt. W. Lucas, Spit; ex-presiden f , Captain F. Bellringer, New Plymouth; Subsjperintendent G. Wildisb, Gisborne; Superintendent J. B. Gilberd, Napier Brigade (secretary of Association). The Executive drew up a draft report to be submitted to the conference on Monday, and then adjourned until this morning.
TO-MORROW'S PROGRAMME. < The programme set down for tomorrow is as follows: —
A church paradj will be held in the morning, when 'the delegates will attend the service at St. Matthew's Church, at which the Rev. A. M. Johnson will officiate. Thn hour for assembling has been fixed for halfpast ten o'clock sharp, opposite Mr H. J. O'Leary's blacksmithiug shop in South Queen street. The firemen will there form a procession and. headed by the Municipal Band, will march to the Church. In the afternoon the delegates will be driven out in drags to Messrs Wardell Bros', farm at Te Whiti, the hour for departure being two o'clock. Among the other arrivals besides those mentioned among the Executive Committee are Secretaries Scantlebury and Boyes of the Reef ton ard Nelson Brigades respectively.
