A STRIKE SETTLED. Received March 2, 10.3 p.m. SYDNEY, March 2. The Morts dock strike has been settled, and the men have resumed work. The non-unionists over whom the trouble occurred have not been re-engaged, but it is understood that two of them will join the Union.
A HURRICANE
CONSIDERABLE DAMAGE DONE

A hurricane, accompanied by heavy rain and hail, swept over Windsor and Richmond, and did great damage to the fruit and maize crops. The hail broke hundreds of windows and houses were flooded.

The Government has annulled the list of 330 Commissioners of the Peace issued in December.
The Premier (Mr Kidston) states that he took action as a protest against the way in which names were placed on the list. DISASTROUS FIRE. DAMAGE ESTIMATED AT SEVERAL MILLION FRANCS.

A fire occurred at warehouses in Marseilles belonging to the Chamber of Commerce.
The buildings covered an area of 10.000 metres.
The damage is estimated at several million francs.
