MRS ROBINSON'S CONFESSION,
AN INDIGNANT DENIAL,
LONDON, February 26
Mr Kimber, solicitor for G. Hollamby Druce, claimant to the Portland'estates, in an interview, in' dignantly and specifically contradicted the statements made in her confession by Mrs Robinson, a witness in the recent Druce perjury case, who is herself now charged with perjury. (Mrs Robinson states that on her arrival in England to give evidence Mr Kimber urged her to stick to her tale—to "stick to her guns"—and endeavoured to compel her to make statements based on a diary which she says she concucted. Since she has been in Holloway Gaol, sht alleged, Mr Kimber had tried to dissuade her from making a confession, saying she would get seven- years' imprisonment.)
