BRITISH POLITICS.

CONFIDENCE IN THE GOVERNMENT. INCREASE IN NAVAL ESTIMATES FORESHADOWED. Received February 12, 8.3 a.m. LONDON, February 11. Moderate and Libex-al members of the House of Commons passed a resolution to the effect that they were confident that the Government would preserve the defences of the Empire in a state of complete efficiency, and deprecating any pressure on the Government to induce it to modify the Naval estimates, which the Government's deliberate judgment approves.

The "Daily Graphic" reports that the Government proposes to increase by a million and a half the Naval estimates, and make some reduction in the Army estimates, reducing the number with the colours.
