LONDON WOOL SALES.
Received February 9, 5.45 p.m. LONDON, February 8. At the wool saie?, the amount sold for home consumption was 20,000 bales, for the Continent 70,000 bales, and for America 6,000 bales. 3,100 bales were held over.
Compared with the December rates, best greasy, merinos were nearly 5 per cent, dearer; good jicoureds, 5 per cent, lower; faulty, 7 \ to 10 percent, lower; fine erossbreds, firm; medium and inferior v 10 per cent, lower; and scoureds especially faulty, 10 per cent, lower.
