PROGRESS OF THtf MOVEMENT.

February 9, 5.30 p.m. LONDON, February 8.

Viscount Ridley presided at the annua! meeting of the Tariff Reform League. There were fifteen hundred delegates present. Mr J. Chamberlain sent a message stating that the progress of the movement surpassed the most sanguine, expectations. Mr Austin Chamberlain emphasised the fact that there was eviden.ee in every direction of a growing J-deaire for knowledge with regard to fiscal reform and a growing uneasiness as to the condition of trade.
