CHARGE OF SWINDLING.
MANUFACTURED DIAMONDS. LONDON, January 31. Lemione, a French engineer, charged with swindling Sir Julius Wernher in connection with the manufacture of diamonds, testified that, after holding his manufactured diamonds three months for microscopical examination, Messrs Beit. Wjrnher, and others at the head of the diamond trade, ratified his agreement with Wernher, and paid him £60,000.
