REBELLION IN PERSIA.
TURKISH TROOPS WITHDRAWING. CONSTANTINOPLE, January 31. The Porte, at the instance of Britain and Russia, is stopping tne forward movement in the direction of Luj Balak in Persian Kurdistan. The Turkish Government disclaims any intention to seize the town. (A cablegram last week stated that the Governor of Azeibaijan, in North-west Persia, had been compelled by the rebels to evacuate Luj Balak, which was afterwards occupied by Turkish troops). UNEMPLOYED IN UNITED STATES. 400,000 MORE THAN USUAL. NEW YORK, January 31. The secretary of the Arrierican Federation of Labour states that there are 400,000 more unemployed in the United States than usual at this season of the year. 'Thevars chiefly in New York, Chicago and St. Louis.
