METEROLOGICAL.
Mr J. C. Boddingtorr 1 reports that the rainfall registered at Upper Plain for the twenty-four hours up till 9 a.m. on Friday was 30 points.
At 9 a.m. yesterday Captain Edwin issued the following forecast for the subsequent 24 hours: Wind.—southerly; strong to gale on east coast batween Napier and East Cape"; moderate to strong southeaterly at all other places. Barometer.—Rise everywhere. Rain is probable northward of Napier, Taupo, and Raglan. Warning signals for southerly gale is exhibited at East Cape.
