GERMANY CLOSES BALTIC PORTS.
A NEW TRIPLE ALLIANCE
Received January 16, 11.32 p.m. 1 BERLIN, January 16. Germany, Russia and Sweden are arranging a virtual neutralisation of the Gulfs of Bothnia"and Finland. It is hinted that Germany thereby not only closes the Baltic against belligerent warships, but begins to establish a new triple alliance. Denmark protests against not being consulteJ on the matter. Received January 17, 12.1 a.m. LONDON, January 16. , "The Times' " St. Petersburg correspondent states that Herr Isvolskywill do nothing as regards the Baltic without the cognisance of Britain.
