BUSH AND GRASS FIRES.
CONSIDERABLE DAMAGE CONE IN NELSON. NELSON, January 13. Serious bush and grass lires are raging in various parts of the province. At Tadmor ten miles of bush has been destroyed, together with much fencing. In the Sherry, Wangapeka and Motupiko districts serious outbreaks are reported. Miles of fencing and over 1,000 sheep have so far been destroyed. A sawmill, dwelling and sheds, belonging to Mr Drew, were destroyed with all the contents. Spooner's range near Tadmor is on fire to-night.
