DEATH IN A TRAIN.

CHRISTCHURCH, January 8. Charles Lacrosse, cook at Benmore station, died this morning in the Springfield to Christchurch train. He complained yesterday of severe internal pains, remedies used did not relieve him, and it was decided to send Kim to the Christchurch Hospital, but he died as stated. Lacrosse was a single man, 45 years of age. He had been a month on the station.
