PERSONAL.
At Wellington, on Wednesday last, Mr J. Hadley, of Carterton, was married to Miss Margaret Hughan, daughter of Mr Alexander Hughan, of Kokotau, Gladstone. 0 Mr V. J. Hill has been elected secretary of the Eketahuna Poultry Association for the ensuing year. Miss Grace Stevens, daughter of Mr James Stevens, who was for a number of years a resident of Carterton, was married last week, at Wellington, to Mr H. R. Barrett, of the teaching staff of the Wellington Education Board. Dr. Butement, late Masterton, and who is now residing in Dunedin, has been appointed to the hon. medical staff of the Dunedin Hospital. Mr and Mrs McGilvary, who have recently returned from a visit to England, have taken up their residence in Carterton. Mrs Corirodsen, who has been a resident of Carterton for many years, contemplates taking a trip to Denmark in March next. The Rev. A. M. Johnson, M.A., of Masterton, has been calif'd to the living of St. Mark's. Wellington. The rev. gentleman has been in charge of St. Matthew's in this town for ths pa3t two years. He will leave for his new charge in about a month's time.
