KEIR HARDIE IN AUCKLAND.
B\ - T..t"GrAVH—PBSrS ASSOCIATION. AUCKLAND, December 23. Mr Keir Hardie, the English Labour leader, reached Auckland by the Manuka last night. In conversation with a reporter he said he was favourably impressed, generally speaking, with the conditions of life in the Commonwealth. He expressed surprise to find land locked up in the way it is. Asked regarding the position of the Labour party in Australia, he would, not express any opinion, stating that he did not believe in interfering with other people's business. Regarding the "All-Red" mail route, he had noticed considerable opposition to it in West Australia "for possible obvious reasons." Mr Keir Hardie's stay in New Zealand will be limited. He has arranged to arrive in Wellington on the 27th inst., and he also intends visiting Dunedin and Invercargill.
