MEETING AT TRENTHAM. l-.V TF.LIOT.APH —MESS ASSOCIATION*. WELLINGTON, December 15. 'i'he programme for the New Zealand Rifle Association's meeting at Trentham, in March next, has been issued. There will be the same number of matches as at the last meeting. The championship prize has been increased from £3O to £SO. The pull of the trigger will bp 51b instead of 61b. A mat".h for Rifle Clubs has been introduced. It will be fired simultaneously with the Volunteer Match and the ranges will be 200, 600 and 800 yards. There will also be in connection with this match a Teams' Match (20 men aside) between Volurw teersand Rifle Clubmen for a prize of £2O. The size of the target at the 200 yards ranges has been altered in accordance with the new iJibley rifle rule—viz., the bulls-eye will be six inches, the inner fifteen inches, magpie twenty-four inches. The outer will be the remainder of the target. It has been decided to allow the use of the new wind gauge slide as authorised by the War Qflice. No other gauge will be allowed. The seven hundred yards range | has been abolished.
