The Hon. Dr Findlay presented the High School prizes and delivered an address to a crowded audience at the Municipal Hall. He spoke strongly oithe absence of encouragement by the wealthy people of New Zealand to the educational system, and said it was their duty to endow it with a portion of their wealth as was done by wealthy men elsewhere. Dr Findlay expressed the opinion that nursing should be taught the girls'in the school. Dr Findlay goes on to Dannevirke to-morrow.
