TRUST LANDS TRUST.

The ordinary meeting of the Masterton Trust Lands Trustees was held last evening, there being present:— M sssrs T. B. Michell (chairman), E. McEwen, W. H. Jackson, E. G. Eton, T. Wugg and D. Caselberg. An apology for absence was received from Mr R. Krahagen. The treasurer reported a credit balance of £327 5s 3d. A letter was received from the Technical School managers thanking the trustees for the terms offered for the site of the proposed new Technical School in Dixon Street.

The Department of Justice wrote acknowledging receipt of a letter from the trustees finally refusing to pay £I,OOO to effect the exchange of town sites between the Government and the Trust. Notices were received from the acting Town Clerk demanding the payments of rates amounting to £5 18s 6d due on the Drill Hall, and £7 on another property. These were left to the chairman arid secretary to deal with. .

It was resolved to hold a public meeting of the voters on Tuesday, December 3rd, in the Town Hall, to consider the building loan proposals, the poll in connection with which will be taken on December sth. Acccounts amounting to £2l 16s 6d were passed for payment.
