NEWCASTLE MINERS' DEMANDS. * Received October 27, 5.8 p.m. SYDNEY, October 27. At a mass meeting of Newcastle miners it was decided to insist on the demand of 8d advance in the hewing rate from January 2nd next, and a general working day of eight hours from bank for all members of the Colliery Employees' Federation.
