CARTERTON NEWS.

From Our Own Correspondent,

Friday. The Catferton Methodist Mutual Improvement Society concluded its session in the Victoria Hall, 011 Thursday evening, with an "ideal banquet," which was very largelyattended. Several speeches were delivered and a lengthy toast list was honoured. A pinafore social was held at Parkon Thursday night. The function by the ladies of that district, and was a decided success. An excellent, supper was provided. The music was supplied by Miss Berrill (piano) and Mr R. Crawley (cornet). The duties of M's.C. were ably - carried out by Messrs Johnson, Jensen, and Martin. Extras were played by Messrs Martin, Oates, and W. Mason.
