GRADING OF BUTTER.

Mr W. T. Jennings (Egmont) asked the Minister for Agriculture whether he will have printed and circulated annually amongst dairy factories copies of the average grading made by each factory? This, according to the questioner, would act as an incentive to factory managers and others to improve the position of the factories they are interested in. The Minister replied that such information could be made public if factories were desirous, but it was not expected that factories would be agreeable where their grading was comparatively low, not so much from bad workmanship as from difficulties under which they labour.
