(By Telegraph—Parliamentary Correspondent.) PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE COMPANIES' ACT. WELLINGTON, October IG. Replying to Mr H. J. H. Okey (Taranaki) in the House, to-day, the Hon. R. McNab said that the question of bringing down legislation this session to amend the Companies' Act, as desired by the Directors of Co-operative Dairy Companies, so as to give them the powers they are asking for in dealing with shares in their companies after shareholders cease to be suppliers, is engaging the attention of the Government, and a Bill to give effect to the representations along the line suggested is being prepared for consideration.
