TEACHERS' SUPERANNUATION FUND.

A MASTERTON PETITION. (By Telegraph- Parliamentary Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, October 8. Catherine Wilkinson, of Masterton, petitioned the House to be admitted ar an "original number" of the Teachers' Superannuation Fund, and submitted certificates in support of her claim. The Education Committee recommend that the petition be referred to the Government for consideration. They also recommend, in the event of the Government acceding to the desire previously expressed by the committee to alter the. definition of "original member" in the Teachers' Superannuation Act, the feasibility of including such cases as the petitioner's be also considered by the Government.
